Acceptable use policy
Last updated: [to fill: date]
This policy is part of the terms. It exists so every customer's email keeps reaching inboxes. If you break it, we may pause your sending, campaigns or account, without a refund of trial credit.
Send only what a business would welcome
- Write to businesses, about their work, with an offer that fits them. The service is for business-to-business outreach, not mail to consumers.
- One clear sender: your real name, company and a postal address where the law asks for one.
- Honest subject lines and content. No false urgency, no pretending to be a reply or an existing customer.
- Honour every "no" at once. The service does this for you; do not work around it, for example by writing to the same person from another account or tool.
Never
- Spam: mail to lists you bought, rented or harvested; mail that breaks the law of the recipient's country.
- Data scraped from LinkedIn, or from any site whose terms forbid it, or addresses gathered by harvesting software.
- Phishing, malware, fraud, impersonation, or links that hide where they go.
- Adult content, gambling, weapons, drugs, debt relief, get-rich offers, crypto investment offers, loans or other financial promotions [to fill: confirm the list], or anything illegal where you or the recipient are.
- Harassment, hate, or threats.
- Getting around our limits: several accounts or trials for one company, changing or hiding your company to get another trial, connecting a new or borrowed address as your everyday one during the trial, or sending more than your daily ceiling by any route.
- Taking lead data out of the service to sell, share or publish it, or using it for anything but your own outreach (the terms, section 4).
- Reselling the service, or using it to build a competing data set, without our written OK.
- Probing, overloading or attacking the service, or reading other customers' data.
Limits we set
- Review: a new account's first campaign is checked by a person before anything sends.
- Daily ceiling: each account starts at 50 emails a day and grows as it sends cleanly; high bounces or opt-outs bring it back down. Only we can change it.
- Health: a mailbox or campaign with too many bounces, complaints or opt-outs is paused on its own until a person looks. We aim for spam complaints under [to fill: 0.1%] of emails sent.
- Countries: emails to countries whose law needs consent are refused; some others wait for you to check.
Reporting abuse
If you got an email sent through this service that breaks this policy, write to [to fill: abuse email] with the email. We look at every report.
